We The Department of Prosthodontics, Karpaga Vinayaga Dental Sciences, celebrated World Prosthodontist Day on 22nd January 2026, with the active participation of all department staff member and students. The event aimed to create awareness about Prosthodontics among the general population as well as to encourage student involvement. The programme was commenced with the screening of an awareness video for general public patients, highlighting various prosthodontic procedures and treatment options. This
was complemented by the display of prosthetic models to help patients better understand the scope of Prosthodontics.
As part of the programme, a new digital device,Intra oral scanner iScan Pro was launched to the department and was formally inaugurated by our beloved Dean Dr.Mathan Mohan and our principal Dr.Balaguhan, marking a significant step towards digital advancement
in Prosthodontic practice. In addition, a banner wishing “Happy World Prosthodontist Day” was released.
The program included undergraduate student competitions such as Treasure Hunt, Blindfold challenge, Best Smile Photography and Mannequin challenge Video Creation, followed by prize distribution. Students actively participated in the Mannequin Challenge Video event, showcasing creativity and teamwork.A souvenir release of our album The Annual Event Gallery 2025 was done. The programme was successfully conducted and served as an engaging platform for patient awareness, academic enrichment, and student involvement, making the celebration of World Prosthodontist Day meaningful and memorable.






Karpaga Vinayaga Institute of Dental Sciences celebrated Pongal 2026 with traditional fervor, marking the harvest festival with cultural performances, traditional games, and rituals. The festivities included vibrant cultural events, such as folk dances and music, and traditional games like uri adithal and tug-of-war, promoting unity and cultural awareness among students and faculty. The event aimed to unite the college community, promote cultural awareness, and celebrate Tamil heritage
