Karpaga Vinayaga Institute of Dental Sciences (KVIDS) is a constituent institution of Karpaga Vinayaga Educational Lore for Learning (KVELL), established under the aegis of the Karpaga Vinayaga Educational Trust. The Institute offers dental education supported by an attached 250-chair teaching hospital, providing clinical training alongside comprehensive patient care.
The undergraduate curriculum integrates foundational medical sciences through Karpaga Vinayaga Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, enabling students to develop a strong grounding in medical knowledge alongside their dental education. Clinical training is complemented by community-based learning through rural postings, oral health programmes, and outreach camps.
With an emphasis on academic learning, clinical exposure, and community engagement, the Institute prepares graduates with the knowledge, skills, and professional values essential for contemporary dental practice.
Our dental college was established in the year 2007, the fruit of our founder Thiru S Regupathy’s (former Minister of Forest), dream of creating top notch educational institutions. Thiru S Regupathy founded Karpaga Vinayaga Educational Group in 1993 with its maiden venture being the establishment of JJ College of Arts and Science, Pudukkottai in 1994 followed by Karpaga Vinayaga College of Engineering and Technology, Karpaga Vinayaga Institute of Dental Sciences, Karpaga Vinayaga Institute of Medical Sciences & Karpaga Vinayaga College of Nursing
Today our founders dream is being cared and nurtured by his son Dr.R.Annamalai MS(Ortho)M.ch(UK) under who’s efficient yet benevolent guidance, our group of institutions continue to grow.
Karpaga Vinayaga Institute of Dental Sciences prides itself in being able to provide excellent venue for our students to excel in academic as well as extra-curricular activities. We have a 250 chaired dental hospital with all modern facilities to cater to the learning need of our students as well as provided excellent care for our patients as well.
Our students are taught basic medical sciences at our sister institute Karpaga Vinayaga Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre which is also equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. There our 3rd year students are given extra care and outstanding training in basic medical knowledge.
Our house-surgeons are regularly serving the public by attending rural postings, community treatment camps, free treatment camps all the while gaining valuable experience and knowledge.
We take special interest in our students and hence nurture them will all the necessary skills and confidence to take on any professional challenge they might face in life.
